However it is Lecce who have won the race to sign the full back.
“It’s official that we have completed a deal to bring Antunes to Lecce,” a statement from Lecce reads. “The player arrives on loan with his ownership to be discussed at the end of the season. He will be presented at training tomorrow.”
Antunes has won one cap for the Portugal national team, and there are still high hopes for the youngster for the future. He is teh second player to leave Roma today, following Ludovic Giuly (Paris Saint Germain) out of the door.
