Roma Good For Unhappy Baptista

The ‘Beast’ has been on Luciano Spalletti’s radar as the coach tries to bring in some much needed fire power up front.

However, Roma have not swooped for the Brazilian but they might just do after Menendez reveals that he welcomes such a move.
“Julio is not happy about the situation in Madrid,” the agent told Radio Centro Suono Sport.

“He is a Brazilian international and he wants to find a team which will make him play regular football.

“The possibilities of him wearing a Roma jersey? Roma have to talk with Real Madrid first and then we will look at the situation.

“Once both clubs reach an agreement, we will then come in to intervene.

“Roma are a prestigious club and they play in the Champions League, every player’s ambition is to join a club like that.”

Good Conclusion

Menendez knows there's still some way to go, though, admitting: “However, it’s not just about the player, it also depends on the clubs.

“I don’t know if Roma will be able to pay what Real are asking for but I am hoping for a good conclusion nevertheless.”

Clearly, it’s now down to the Giallorossi to act fast and come in for the hit-man.

Spalletti will need to ensure he adds some strength to his squad if his team are to challenge for major honours next term.
