Spalletti Relishing Chelsea Challenge

fount : goal.com

The Giallorossi have never faced the Blues in the Champions League and they will be heading to West London with great ambitions.

The Stamford Bridge side are the bookmakers favourites to lift the trophy but Spalletti is not afraid.

“It’s a nice group and certainly interesting. You can tell that we had a helping hand with the draw,” said Spalletti, referring to Roma sporting director Bruno Conti who helped with the draw.

“Chelsea? We just have to go there with all our experience from past years and play with concentration.

“Menez? He is a very young player and he needs to gain more experience. He has plenty of will to play and motivation. Transfers? Our transfer market is officially closed.”

The Giallorossi will be relishing the chance to clash with the West London side. Spalletti has not got a good record against English teams and he will be hoping to change that trend this season.

I Lupi will fancy their chances of getting through the group stages, with Chelsea the only team likely to cause the Italians a problem.
