Mourinho To Swap Adriano For Aquilani?

The coach recently huffed and puffed about the difficulties of working with a huge squad and he revealed that some strikers would leave this summer.

Midfielders seem to be all the rage in Milan with the Nerazzurri strengthening massively in the middle. Although the club sent out some mixed messages about their transfer campaign being closed, it seems as if it is still very much open and Aquilani may arrive before the end of the transfer window.

Sportmediaset claims that Inter are preparing a player plus cash deal in order to prize the Italian playmaker away from the Olimpico.

Adriano is likely to be the player used to try and entice Roma into the deal. The Giallorossi are desperate for a top-class striker and the Brazilian will be the perfect answer to Luciano Spalletti’s striking dilemmas.

The Nerazzurri are prepared to offer Aquilani a mega €3.7m per season deal which will dwarf what he currently earns in the Eternal city.

Mourinho spoke about Adriano ahead of the Trofeo Tim and he warned that he would not tolerate any childish antics from the Brazilian following the troubles he caused last term under Roberto Mancini.

“He (Adriano) needs a coach beside him but I coach men not children,” raved Mourinho.

Roma have already allowed the Milanese side to prize Amantino Mancini away from the Olimpico but it remains to be seen as to whether they will be so lenient with Aquilani.
