The Giallorossi are well known to be in the market for a top class forward, and have been linked to a host of frontmen in recent weeks.
One of these is Real Madrid’s Julio Baptista, who is almost certain to leave the Santiago Bernabeu in search of first team football.
Yesterday, Roma were tipped by the Spanish press to make a €15m bid for ‘The Beast’, and it is a move that Aldair is sponsoring.
"Julio Baptista is a very interesting player and could do well in the capital,” he told Centro Suono Sport.
The 1994 World Cup winner also praised young Arsenal starlet Nicklas Bendtner, who earlier this month was also heavily linked with the Eternal City-outfit.
“Another player that I like a lot is Bendtner, the centre forward of Arsenal, although he is still very young," the 43-year-old stated.
Aldair played for Roma from 1990 to 2003 and is widely regarded as one of the club’s best ever defenders. In 13 superb seasons at the club he made 415 appearances, winning the Scudetto in 2001 under Fabio Capello.
After he left the Giallorossi at the age of 37, the club retired his No.6 shirt in his honour.
