Fiorentina announced yesterday that they had received, and were considering, an offer from Roma for star man Adrian Mutu.
The Giallorossi have today confirmed that they have indeed made a bid, and respected football agent Claudio Pasqualin believes it is absolutely guaranteed that the 29-year-old will become a Roma player within the next 24 to 36 hours.
"Will Mutu go to Roma? It is certain that he will go,” Pasqualin told Radio Kiss Kiss.
“I think that the agreement has already been found for the transfer of the Romanian to the Giallorossi, and some time today or tomorrow it will become official."
Meanwhile, John Arne Riise, who himself joined Roma from Liverpool earlier this summer, is keeping his fingers crossed that he is joined at the Stadio Olimpico by Mutu.
“I don’t know whether what is said in the newspapers is true,” the Norwegian explained.
“But I think that Mutu is a fantastic player and any squad would like to have him.”
Roma have been very quiet on the transfer market so far this summer, snapping up just Riise and Siena defender Simone Loria.
